In April, Autism Speaks a non profit organization encourages the world to Light It Up Blue for greater understanding and acceptance of people who are diagnosed as being on the Autism spectrum. While many support this unique campaign there are other that argue that the problem is that Autism Speaks isn’t the universally beloved organization you might assume it is. If you speak to a great number of autistic individuals, the sentiment they share is, “Autism Speaks doesn’t speak for me.”
